El Paso's “Battle at the Ballpark”-Presser

After a rocky start when the WBC refused to sanction Heavyweight David Rodriguez, (35-0, 33 Kos), in a Fecombox heavyweight title defense against Byron “The Bear” Polley then a replacement opponent could not be agreed upon between Rodriguez and Promoter Zeferino, Ramirez ultimately forcing Ramirez to move in a different direction, deciding to roll the dice with placing Rodriguez with the popular El Paso native Jennifer Han for the first segment of ‘Battle at the Ballpark’ series Saturday October 15th at Cohen Stadium in El Paso. FORMER UFC FIGHTER CHALLEGES EL PASOEAN BOXER ERIC REZA

For the much anticipated first segment of Battle at the Ballpark at Cohen Stadium October 15, sponsored by the Speaking Rock comes a “Battle” that has El Paso talking about with one on the matchup’s being El Paso’s Eric Reza accepting the Challenge from former UFC fighter Darrell Schoonover. Schoonover a talented wrestler at Coronado High in El Paso, Texas, Schoonover began training in jiu-jitsu, judo, submission grappling and Muay Thai at age 17.
